Onxley Architecture (OA), established in 1993, is a design- oriented firm located in Charlotte, North Carolina, offering a full scope of professional services in architecture, planning, and interior design.
Mr. Onxley is a 25-year veteran of the architectural profession with in-depth knowledge of managing a variety of projects, through all phases of design and construction. He is proficient in the fast track, negotiated, and design/build construction process, as well as renovations and restorations (See 500 Archdale). He is experienced in both design and production of project types ranging from low- and high-rise commercial offices and hotels (See First Union Tower and Holiday Inn Uptown), to parking structures, industrial, and medium- to large-scale institutional projects (See Central Elementary).
OA possesses the artistic and technical abilities to deliver an architectural product that is functional, aesthetically pleasing and well-built.
OA is committed to design integrity in its interiors, using appropriate materials, lighting, and spatial order to enhance the project’s architectural design (See Firethorne Country Club).
OA, highly respected for its attention to details and the quality of its designs, is also appreciated by general contractors for the thoroughness of its contract documents. Mr. Onxley devotes a large amount of time in the field to observing construction, anticipating situations and offering professional advice and assistance to the contractor. He establishes personal working relationships with the owner, consultants, and contractors, whom he considers participants and interactive players on the project. These qualities of OA's service are recorded through numerous letters of recommendation and commissions from repeat clients.
